This French spreadable Gourmandise cheese has layers of small chopped pieces of walnut between extremely soft cheese. It is made with pasteurized cow's milk and is very popular, especially during holidays and parties. This cheese would also be a good addition in your salads or cakes.

We cut and wrap this cheese per order in wedge of 1 pound and 8 ounces.

Ingredients: Cheese (pasteurized cow's milk, salt, cheese culture, microbiological rennet, annatto and caramel (color), milk, water, butter, walnuts, 3.5%, cashew nuts, hazelnuts, sodium phosphate (emulsifying agent), salt, artificial flavor, carrageenan, carob gum.

Suzy M This is a creamy, soft and delectable cheese. The flavor of walnuts is on but not overpowering. The very subtleness of this cheese hints that it sould be served with fig jam or apricot preserves and sweet apples. This is not a sweet cheese so it should be paired with the aforementioned or an authentic maple syrup should be drizzled over it. This isn't just a cheese for the cheese board but this can be used in sweet or savory crepes. For sweet crepes, in addition to those fruits mentioned, try a chocolate or strawberry sauce drizzled over them. If making the savory crepes make a nice sweet cognac or sherry sauce. Or, make a spinach, bacon or ham crepe using this cheese to make a creamy herb sauce.
