We absolutely love this Red Slate Cheese Board; it is the result of a a collaborative effort from Brooklyn graphic designer Sean Tice and Parsons graduate student Kristy Hadeka. Can you image how your gourmet cheese selection would look on this warm deep colored rustic cheese board. Red slate is more rare than black or gray, but there is no difference in quality or strength.
These wonderful slate boards are sourced from family quarries in Castleton, Vermont and Hampton, New York.
Slate is impervious to fungus and mold; they are treated and sealed to be food safe. Crumbs, liquids and oils wipe off easily with a damp sponge or towel and you can even put them in the dishwasher (without the feet). Slate is one of the most durable stones readily available; they are at least 3/8" thick.
Each cheese board is packaged in a burlap bag with soapstone chalk and anti-slip padded feet. Size 10 x 14 inches.
Please note that these Slate Cheese Boards are heavy; when you like to order them in combination with perishable items, please give us a call; it is most likely cheaper to ship them separately.
