O'Banon was one of the first cheeses made by Capriole in Indiana in 1988. That was the time that French names were needed to make a goat cheese interesting; Banon is an 'old' French cheese.

Oregon Blue is a semi-soft blue cheese made by Rogue Creamery. The cheese has a smooth and subtle flavor with a delicate blue tang.

The award Oregon Blue received was second place in the Blue Cheese category in the 2007 World Cheese Awards in London UK.
