Battery Park is the flagship cheese of Charleston Artisan Cheesehouse and it is a complex Brie-style cheese of approximately 15 ounces. The cheese is made with milk from a single-source, 250 year old family farm and handcrafted and aged in Charleston.
The bloomy gourmet cheese tastes like mushroom and earth, with a touch of bread, grass, and fruit. It has a mild, firm center and intense soft outer paste. The aroma is rich with butter, citrus, and toffee notes.
This Southern artisan cheese is great on a french loaf, sandwich, burger or cheese platter. Serve warm or at room temperature. Complimented by savory fruits: blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, pears, or tomatoes.
