Butterkäse is a loaf-shaped cheese made from pasteurized cow's milk and has no rind. As the name suggests it is a buttery, creamy cheese with a buttery taste and color.
Our Butterkäse is German-made and the semi-soft consistency makes is easy to cut when cold, but when you get it to room temperature the cheese will be melting in your mouth. It is very good with a glass of beer and does an excellent job as a melting cheese.
We cut and wrap this cheese in pieces of 1 pound and 8 ounces.
Ingredients: pasteurized milk, salt, annatto (color), cheese cultures, enzymes, egg white lysozyme (preservative).
