Gourmet Farmstead Cheese

Browse our fine selection of gourmet Farmstead cheeses. Farmstead or farmhouse (fermier in French) cheese means that the production of the milk and the making of the cheese occurs on the same farm and that the same company or family is in charge of both. Farmstead is not necessarily artisanal nor visa versa, but a single source is often regarded as high quality because the milk is controlled by the same people who make the cheese.

We will be adding exciting new Gourmet Farmstead Cheeses frequently, so come back soon!

Picture of classic blue
Classic Blue cheese is a unique, 4.5-oz., slightly aged goat's milk cheese log; the flagship cheese of Westfield Farm in Massachusetts. There are not so many blue goat's milk cheeses in the world and certainly not many external blue goat cheeses. This good looking small log would do great on your cheese board or would give an additional dimension to your recipes in which you traditionally use plain goat's milk cheeses. Classic Blue received a first place at the American Cheese Society Competition in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2012 in the category 'External Blue Molded Cheeses'. read more...
