Marco Polo is one of the artisanal cheeses of Beecher's Handmade Cheeses and a great cheese as it received more than one award, the latest being a Gold Medal for Hard Pressed or Repressed Cheddar with Savoury Additives in the World Cheese Awards in the UK in 2007.
Marco Polo takes lightly milled green and black Madagascar peppercorns and blends them with Beecher's creamy Flagship, resulting in a cheese with bite and texture as adventurous as its namesake - the great thirteenth century adventurer Marco Polo credited with bringing pepper and other discoveries to Europe.
We cut and wrap this cheese in blocks of approximately 1 pound and 8 ounces.
