To make sure the quality of the drying process is undeviating; the beans are raked regularly and consistently at a very specific pace to ensure that each bean has reached its potential.

The Balinese philosophy believes that the cause of happiness is a good a relationship with both people and environment. This belief system is evident in the painstaking work of hand sorting the beans numerous times to remove discolored, broken, unripe, damaged or poor quality beans. Tourists that visit plantations in this region are likely to find most of the labor, including harvesting the trees is done by hand.
