Picture of french roast gourmet coffee

Since the first coffee house opened in Paris in 1672, people have taken extreme pleasure in the tradition of coffee. "I remember when I was visiting the area of La Rochelle and was at Vieux Port, the harbor located in the heart of town. Street café's, both big and small, spilled over the pavement with all the tables and chairs facing the street activity. Piping hot, freshly ground coffee is being served to people reading over the daily newspaper, lovers whispering to one another, and students gathered to discuss world and local events".

The French cafés function as meeting places for the artists, poets and writers to display their work while sipping the strong French Roast they were served in the custom tiny coffee cups.

Just as in any romance, there is attraction, love and heat and desire. The French have been known for their romance with coffee for decades and they believe that drinking coffee is an absolute way of life...a part of life. They sit, they savor, they stay present in the moment and enjoy the ambiance around them while they romance the roast.

Neidhammer Select's French Roast blend starts with a blend of Central and South America beans that have been grown at very high altitudes. The higher altitude and cooler temperatures produce a bean that has matured very slowly and is less porous. This type bean is more acidic, and they are much more flavorful. These beans are then roasted dark to offer you an intense cup with rich lingering flavor. It's a coffee so serious, it'll wake the neighbors!

Take a moment right now...Pull up a chair, grab the daily paper and brew some fresh French Roast blend while remembering the French proverb that says, 'Goodness is the only investment that never fails'.

The Neidhammer Select French Roast Gourmet Coffee is available in whole beans and 3 different grinds: Drip-Grind, French-Press or Espresso-Grind. Each coffee is freshly roasted just for your order and packed in a 1-pound heat-sealed valve bag that will ensure the freshest coffee.

We also have a Decaf available for those who like to strongness of the Dark Roast, but prefer to do without the caffeine.
