Decaf Colombia Gourmet Coffee

It is expected that Decaf Colombian Supremo Coffee will supersede your palatable expectations with only 1/40 of the caffeine found in the regular gourmet cup. Professional tasters (cuppers) will recognize this high quality Colombian blend amongst the best in the world. With a full, rich flavor and aroma, the high quality, large 'Supremo' beans are the highest-grade coffee according to rigid Colombian National Standards. For 75 years, the Colombian Coffee Federation (CCF) has been the worlds most successful and intensive organization to support the 550,000 Colombian coffee farmers. Decaf Colombian Supemo La Valle Verde coffee, as with most of the world's great coffees, is released of its acidic agents and impurities by a 'washing' process. This process removes the pulp and skin from the bean while the fruit is still fresh. The bean is then soaked in enzymes to help loosen the excess pulp. The beans are then washed to remove all excess fruit pulp. This washing process is occasionally done by a machine and is then called demucilage. Prior to roasting, the beans moisture level is increased causing the caffeine to rise to the surface. Using a simple wash process and most all of the caffeine has been removed. Never would we let decaffeination process affect the flavor of our roast or of the brew. We took the caffeine out and left the gourmet flavor in! Colombia ranks second to Brazil in coffee production, but with the CCF improving the standard of living for more than four million Colombians, maintaining stable coffee prices, building over 200,000 houses for farmers, building 200 hospitals and an even longer list of other social services, it is no wonder that the benefiting Colombian cafeteros do everything possible to maintain the highest quality coffee in the world. With the CCF monitoring all the coffee that leaves the ports, investing heavily in research and processing methods, what is already an extraordinary cup of Colombian coffee is destined to become even more exceptional, with every delivery of fresh roast to your home.
