At Callie's Biscuits in Charleston, SC these Buttermilk Biscuits are called 'the basic biscuit', but that just doesn’t do them justice. When they say basic they mean you actually could eat these everyday. Simple yet flavorful with hints of cream cheese, you can’t go wrong with keeping at least a dozen of these biscuits on hand for any occasion big or small. Split them in half, re-butter, and toast for an extra crunch!
Please remember that the best way to eat a biscuit is with a generous pat of butter. The buttermilk biscuits shine alone or filled with petite fried chicken and aioli or chicken or shrimp salad for tailgates or tea parties.
