This semi-cooked Duck Foie Gras with Port Wine and Truffles has a wonderfully rich flavor and silky smooth texture, containing top quality of homogenized and whole duck liver, seasonings, and port wine. In addition it has small pieces of black truffles nicely positioned in the center of the foie gras and that add to the flavor and the looks of the foie gras when you serve it. It is made by Rougie, the well-known French foie gras manufacturer.

The duck liver is marinated in sweet port wine, and then compressed into a solid block. As it is semi-cooked, or micuit so it needs to be kept refrigerated. When you want to serve this delicacy, warm-up the blade of your knife with hot water, slice and serve slightly chilled over a french baguette or brioche. Keep the foie gras slices whole, do not spread, to best enjoy the rich texture this duck foie gras.
