It is hand-harvested, sustainable, eco-friendly, and artisan-produced. Harvested only 4 months of the year without the aid of machinery or fossil fuels, these salts represents hope for a better future for the local community and awareness to culinary enthusiasts and chefs everywhere of a nearly forgotten product. Crafting these salts is an incredibly labor-intensive process. Producing flavorful, quality salts require generations of experience, clean seawater and natural heat from the sun. Today fewer than 50% of salt producers remain holding the knowledge of traditional methods of production.

The Pink Pangasinan salt derives its natural pink color from the sugpo shrimp. An appealing briny interplay of flavors support a sharp primal taste spurred by a firm lively saline structure.
