Pasta al Farro is a healthy organic pasta flown in from Tuscany. Farro is spelt; a grain that has been grown in Europe for over 300 years, and grown in North America for just over 100 years.
Spelt was originally used as a feed for animals, but has become a popular healthy alternative in our menus; farro has a nutty flavor, and is high in protein that is for many easier to digest than wheat (as wheat it is not gluten-free). Pasta al Farro is also rich in fibers and cooks in only 7 minutes.
Poggi de Farro, the makers of this organic pasta, have a passion for genuine and traditional food, bringing you the true flavors of Tuscany; from the Alto Mugello area, where the spelt is sown in September-October and harvested in July-August, to your table.
We have three varieties; spaghetti, linguine and penne, each packed in 1.1 lbs. bags.
