Torchietti originally come from the Campania region of Italy. The name means 'little torches', this short, bell-shaped pasta goes well with plain tomato sauces.
In Italy there is a strong sense of culture connected to producing and consuming pasta. Over the centuries the art of making pasta has become a practice that is appreciated at a national and an international level. Today Maestri Pastai still uses the best quality durum wheat and exclusively uses bronze draw plates, just as it did in the past, in order to ensure that the pasta will have its famous rough and porous surface (which is ideal for sauces).
Each bag contains 1.1 lbs. of Torchietti Pasta.
