These sweet and savory chutneys are made by the Virginia Chutney Company in Washington, VA and are made according to the rich traditions that are alive in our Southern States. Chutney, in general terms, is a condiment that contains fruit, vinegar, sugar and spices. It originated in India and spread to Europe and the rest of the word via England. The way you like to use chutneys totally depends on you, in the Indian cuisine chutneys are delicious additions to curries, but in the South cooks like to serve chutney on ham, roasts and cornbread and the chutneys from Virginia Chutney Company are also a great (fat-free) accompaniment to your cheese board.

Spicy Plum Chutney: made with caramelized onions and ginger. Delicious with roast pork, Brie, sharp cheddar, Manchego and Gorgonzola.
Sweet Peach Chutney: delicious, refreshing, and gingery, this chutney is a great addition to curries, cold ham, chicken salad and most cheeses. It is also first-rate with fish.
