American Artisanal cheese is a special group within the gourmet cheeses and it is continuously growing; more entrepreneurs invent new cheeses, new flavors. Our assortment of American Artisanal cheese is just the tip of the cheese berg and it will allow you to savor some of the many flavors the American cheesemakers produce:
Purple Haze (4 oz.): This artisanal cheese from Northern California is flavored with wild fennel pollen and lavender; a combination that reminds you of the French Provence.
St. Pete's Select Blue Cheese (8 oz.) a creamy mouth feel and has a complex and rather sharp flavor. The cheese is crumbly, 'dirty' white with a lot of blue veining.
Apple Smoked Cheddar Cheese (8 oz.) is made by Carr Valley Cheese Company. It is an all natural white cheddar that is apple smoked and then hand rubbed with paprika; the light smoky flavor balances very well with the paprika.
Barely Buzzed Cheese (8 oz.) a wonderful cheddar-like cheese that is rubbed with a mix of Turkish coffee, French Lavender and oil. The rub adds notes of butterscotch and caramel that are prevalent close to the rind, but find their way to the center of the cheese.
