California has a rich cheese making community; many are artisans producing smaller quantities of gems of cheese, of which many are award winners. Our assortment is just an example of the variety of cheese California has to offer, but there is so much more.
Original Blue - an award winning blue cheese made from raw cow's milk. The flavor of this Point Reyes gourmet cheese is creamy, sweet, fresh milk with a medium-to-strong punch of blue flavor. Original Blue is aged for a minimum of 6 months.
Mt Tam - an organic gourmet cheese is made with pasteurized cow's milk and is firm, yet buttery with a mellow, earthy flavor reminiscent of white mushrooms. It is a smooth, creamy cheese with a thick, snow-white bloomy rind.
Dry Monterey Jack - a firm cheese with a yellowish paste that has a sweet nutty flavor. The cheese is around 7 to 10 months.
Lamb Chopper - a matured, gouda-style sheep's milk cheese. A deep buttery colored cheese that is creamy, smooth and firm. It's the perfect table cheese, equally lovely cheese for cooking.
