Pinot Noir Wine is light to medium bodied with red berry flavors and floral aromas. Pinot Noir is one of the oldest grape varieties to be cultivated for the purpose of making wine. Cheeses that pair well with Pinot Noir are simple and rich, not too spicy as that may mask the delicate flavors of the Pinot Noir. Our selection of gourmet cheeses for this red wine consist of:
Triple Creme Brie - (8 oz.) traditionally a French cheese, but this award-winning variety is made in California.
Caciocavallo Silano - (8 oz) a stringy semi-hard cheese. The rind contains small grooves left by the restraining cords. It is made from cow's milk.
Appenzeller - (8 oz.) another traditional cheese, this one from Switzerland, somewhat aromatic and a distinctively fruity taste.
Comte - (8 oz.) another French traditional cheese, this one is a hard cheese with a floral aroma with nutty fudge flavors.
