Windsor Red or also known as Red Windsor is a traditional British cheese. Combine port and brandy and mix it during the cheddaring process and you will get a fine looking cheese that tastes as good as it looks. During maturation Windsor Red adopts a red-pink marbled appearance that clearly distinguishes itself from the rest of ordinary cheeses on any cheese plate or buffet.
Cube Windsor Red and add the gourmet cheese to a salad with some other red ingredients like tomato, cherry, radishes, red lollo rosso lettuce and the colors will be enhanced. A cheese board will also get a color boost when Windsor Red shows up. Pair it with some red grapes and a glass of port and enjoy.
We hand-cut and wrap this cheese in wedges of 1 pound and 8 ounces or you can buy a half moon shaped cheese of approximately 2.5 pounds.
