Mediterranean Cheese Torta

What can be more Mediterranean than Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese, Kalamata olives, herbs, sweet red peppers and dried tomatoes. You will find all these flavors on a base of of silky cream cheese in Rising Sun Farms' Mediterranean Cheese Torta.

Spread the Torta on rustic bread, bagels and crackers or thin it with milk and use it as sauce over pasta, risotto, rice or polenta and grits. The Torta will also serve greatly as a base for a creamy soup or as a sauce over your favorite seafood. This torta is 9.5 ounces and will serve 8 to 12 people.

At the 2012 competition of the American Cheese Society, this cheese torta received a 2nd place.

Store refrigerated up to 8 weeks.


Ingredients:rBGH free cream cheese (pasteurized cultured milk and cream, salt, stabilizers (xanthan, and/or carob bean and/or guar gums)), dried tomatoes (sulfite free), unsalted butter (cream)(milk), rBGH free Parmesan and Romano cheese blend (pasteurized part-skim cow's milk, sheep's milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes and rennet), basil, sweet red pepper puree (sweet red peppers, water, citric acid), garlic, Kalamata olives, filtered water, olive oil, organic dried oregano. Made in a facility that processes nuts and soy.
