Di Bruno Bros. founders, Danny and Joe DiBruno, hail from Abruzzo, Italy, lending their homeland's name to many of DB favorite products. Sun-dried diavolino (little devil) peppers are the ubiquitous seasoning in this region. Though South Philadelphia may be a far cry from the lush pastoral vistas of Abruzzo, Danny and Joe chose to evoke their native seasoning tossing a healthy sprinkle of red chilies into dishes that have become local classics.
