Start with a classic Vermont Cheddar cheese and submerge the curds in Munich Dark and IPA from the local (Vermont) artisan Harpoon� brewery, so that the full ale flavor is soaked up by the curds. The result is an AleHouse Cheddar Cheese with an ale aroma and a flavor that balances nuts, hops and sweet notes.
The Munich Dark gives the cheese a light marble look and the IPA adds a more complex hop flavor. Many artisan beer lovers like to munch on the gourmet cheddar that won several awards including a gold medal at the 2011 LA International Dairy Competition and a 3rd-place award at the 2013 American Cheese Society's Competition.
