The milk comes from Jersey cows that graze on the greenery of the mountainous terrain. The raw cow’s milk is transformed into French Tomme de Savoie-style cheese.
Cumberland cheese is named for the towering plateau that envelops Sequatchie Cove Farm, which also happens to be the world's longest hardwood-forested plateau.
