Westfield Farm

Chevre is the French term for goat cheese and Capri is the term for the goat cheese made in America by Westfield Farm.

Westfield Farm has been handcrafting award-winning farmstead cheeses in Hubbardston, MA, since 1971. Located on 20 acres in Central Massachusetts, the farm turns out a little over 1500 pounds of cheese per week. They are the proud recipients of many national awards, including Best of Show at the American Cheese Society's 1996 annual convention. Most of their cheeses are served in the country's finer restaurants or sold in specialty stores, and online at Gourmet-Food.com.

Whether called Chevre, Capri, goat cheese or just plain cheese, It is all made farm fresh, by hand and with pride.

Our Featured Westfield Farm Cheese
Picture of hickory smoked capri cheese

At the Westfield Farm in Massachusetts they know about making goat cheese, as that's what they do and they do it right because many of their creations are award-winners.

This Hickory Smoked Capri is one of them. A small 4 oz. log that is cold smoked for about 14 hours - the result is a strong hickory flavor and when you combine that with the smooth and creamy texture of the goat cheese you'll have a great experience.

This is an example that small can be bold, that small can be great; this Hickory Smoked Capri captured a fist place in its category at the American Cheese Society's Competition 6 times. We believe that is worth something, worth to try at least.

Try it on your burger, as an appetizer, in a salad, or casserole or give a cheese sauce a smoky edge.
