As you may have guessed, this aged Gouda is named after the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn. This award winning Dutch gourmet cheese is aged for 12 months in a classic natural way.
The cheese is hard, but you will still be able to slice it and the texture will allow you to shred or chunk or melt the cheese; it has a creamy rich flavor, slightly sharp, so ideal on a sandwich, on burger, in a cheese sauce. Pair Rembrandt with a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Shiraz, or with a Trappister Beer or IPA.
We hand-cut this cheese in wedges of approx. 1 pound and 7 ounces.
