Our Featured Dutch Gourmet Cheese
Parrano is a full flavored Gouda-style cheese that is aged for just 5 months and already with some Parmesan-like flavors, but still the smoothness and creaminess of a young Gouda. They call it the cheese from Holland that thinks its Italian and the label has the colors of the Italian flag, red, green and white.
This combination of characteristics; smooth, creamy and flavorful will allow you to use the cheese in a variety of ways. Slice on a sandwich, grate to add to a sauce, sliver to serve on a salad.
Parrano pairs well with Italian favorite reds, like a Chianti and if you are in the mood for a cold beer try a crisp pilsner or a light wheat beer.
We hand-cut and wrap this cheese in wedges of 8 ounces and 1 pound. read more...
