It is not hard to imagine where this cheese comes from, Dubliner is an Irish cheese that has similarities with a cheddar, but is not the same. The flavor is more complex; a more mature rounded flavor. This gourmet cheese is aged at least 12 months, resulting in a firm texture, but still easy to cut and slice.
Kerrygold, the maker of the Dubliner cheese named named after Ireland's capital and they say the cheese characteristics describe the city as well: complex, worldly, somewhat sweet, and somewhat nutty. This is an easy cheese to cook with, like in your grilled cheese, cheese sauce, pizza, pasta, but also wonderful on a cheese board with dry and fresh fruit, and a flavored mustard.
We hand cut and wrap this cheese in pieces of 8 ounces and 1 pound.
